The Northeast Ohio Maple Producers invite you to visit a working maple sugarhouse in March 2009.
Over 20 Yankee and Amish sugarhouses in Geauga, Ashtabula, Mahoning, Monroe, Medina, Seneca and Crawford Counties will be open for tours.
Master sugar makers will be on hand to demonstrate how maple syrup is made and answer questions.

Maple syrup production in Northeast Ohio dates back to the days of the Native Americans. The tradition continues and is part of the heritage of the Western Reserve.
Maple Syrup is made in only a very small part of the entire world. Northeast Ohio is the heart of this amazing area.
